Behavioural Interventions for Adults with Dementia (2.5 CEUs)

Our Behavioural Interventions for Adults with Dementia Course builds on our Introduction to Behavioural Gerontology course and our Understanding Dementia course. In the course, we explore how we approach behaviours that challenge by adults with dementia, important considerations before intervention, and the types of interventions we may consider. We go through some of the most common behavioural challenges shown by adults with dementia such as aggression and agitation, wandering, exiting and hoarding and look at the behavioural research that has worked to reduce these behaviours.

We also cover how we assess behaviours that challenge in adults with dementia focusing on the challenges of observations and experimental functional analysis and other useful assessments.

The course takes around 2 and a half hours to complete and you will earn 2.5 BACB CEUs for completing the course and passing the mini assessments. A certificate will be sent to the email address you signed up with after completion of the assessments. After purchasing the course you will have access for 90 days.
