Welcome to PACT!
Thanks for taking the time to look at what we have to offer. Below you'll find a selection of our courses designed to help you better manage some of the challenges you face when caring for someone living with dementia.
We're planning on launching additional courses in the series!

Introducing The Dementia Sessions
The Dementia Sessions series of courses were designed to teach carers about important behavioural guidance and advice on why different behaviours might happen and how to support with them. Most of the carers that Dr. Emma has come across, during years of clinical work, told her that one of the biggest struggles they had was how to manage different behaviours that they hadn’t experienced before, such as wandering, distressed behaviour, refusal with personal care tasks, or a whole range of other behaviours. She wanted to share her knowledge about techniques you can implement that can help reduce distressed behaviours and enhance person-centred care leading to improved quality of life, for both yourself as the caregiver, and the person living with dementia.

The Dementia Sessions:
Washing & Bathing
There can be many factors that affect the decline in personal hygiene when someone is suffering from dementia. This course teaches carers how to create more positive experiences for everyone involved.

The Dementia Sessions:
Dressing & Grooming
People with dementia can behave unexpectedly. This course was created to teach carers ways to reduce stress for all involved in dressing and grooming routines whilst producing positive outcomes.

The Dementia Sessions:
Agitation & Aggression
This course is designed to teach carers of people living with dementia some possible ways to manage the aggressive and agitated behaviours that are commonly associated with those living with dementia.

Behavioural Approaches
"In my role, which involves identifying suitable training for NHS staff, I had the privilege of reviewing the Behavioural Approaches training offered by PACT. I wanted to be sure that the content would complement our policies and standards whilst building on previously provided training. I was impressed by the clear, well-presented content which was evidence-based and comprehensive. I went on to commission my first training from PACT for a cohort of Dementia Support Workers who fed back that they thought it was excellent"
